Cubs

Our Cub Pack provides a wide range of activities for boys and girls aged between 8 and 10½.

The Cub Pack meets on a Monday evening at the Weir View HQ to take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, and badgework. Recent activities have included an Autumn Fancy dress party, building lighted boats for Diwali, map reading around the town, raft racing and a puppet show. We run a weekend camp for the Cubs every year, and during the boating season, they do pulling, kayaking and powerboating on the River Medway.

Our Cub Pack is currently at full capacity. If your child would like to join us, s/he will need to join our waiting list via email at 14thtonbridgewaitinglist@gmail.com. Please note that due to the popularity of the Pack, we cannot guarantee that a place will be available when your child reaches the starting age.

The waiting list will vary from time to time, and is also affected by the age profile of the children moving up to our Sea Scout Units. As a result, we are not able to give any indication of the likelihood of there being a place for your child when they reach the starting age, or the length of time afterwards that they may have to wait. Alternatively you could consider applying to other Cub Packs in the District that have vacancies.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
