Beavers

Beaver Scouts are our youngest members, aged between 6 and 8 years. Meeting on a Monday evening, boys and girls take part in a wide range of activities including games, crafts, badgework, and visits to places like the local fire station and the Chatham Dockyard.

Beaver Scouts also get afloat on the river like the rest of the Group during the boating season.

Our Beaver Colony is currently at full capacity with 24 children. If your child would like to join us, s/he will need to join our waiting list via email at 14thtonbridgewaitinglist@gmail.com.

Please note that due to the popularity of the Colony, we cannot guarantee that a place will be available when your child reaches the starting age. The waiting list will vary from time to time, and is also affected by the age profile of the children moving up to our Cub Unit. As a result, we are not able to give any indication of the likelihood of their being a place for your child when they reach the starting age, or the length of time afterwards that they may have to wait…. alternatively you should consider applying to other Beaver colonies in the District that have vacancies.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
