Welcome to 14th Tonbridge Sea Scouts

The 14th Tonbridge was inaugurated in 1947 and has grown to become one of the largest groups in Kent. Its popularity has led to waiting lists for all of its sections, so apply early to get the best chance of membership.

The Royal Navy (RN) recognises 103 Sea Scout Groups, and the 14th Tonbridge has been one of these Groups since the scheme began. RN Recognition and our RYA Training Centre Status are two of the most important aspects of the Group, and are key contributors to its success and popularity.

With bases on the River Medway (in Tonbridge) and at Bough Beech reservoir, the 14th Tonbridge offers a unique opportunity for local young people and adults to participate in a wide variety of Activites afloat, as well as the traditional fundamentals of Scouting.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
